In this episode, you’ll learn more about the Brainspotting modality as we discuss applications such as Performance Expansion, Future Self-Spotting, and Neuro Coaching.
My guest is Cindy S. Smith, a therapist, Brainspotting consultant, and executive coach. Read more about Cindy and follow the links to her practice below.
Brainspotting is a modality discovered by Dr. David Grand. Please visit www.brainspotting.com to learn more.
The mantras from the episode are as follows:
Mantra #1: Brainspotting has a Performance Expansion Model that can be used to tap into growth, creativity and peak performance.
Mantra #2: Brainspotting can be used to identify a “future self” to envision an optimal life through multi-sensory perception. Double spotting is another technique within the modality that allows for the processing of the transformation between “current self” and “ideal/future self”.
Mantra #3: Neuro-coaching is about working with the nervous system to meet goals and objectives including creativity, overcoming limiting beliefs, and expanding performance.
Mantra #4: Bilateral stimulation works as it activates the
parasympathetic nervous system so that we can self-regulate and
perhaps even integrate memories.
Mantra #5: There are “Brainspots” (fixed eye positions that correlate to neurological pathways) all around us. With our brain containing a quadrillion connections, “brainspots” can be considered within a 3-dimensional, 360-degree framework.
